China’s economy is becoming increasingly important and in terms of GDP already overtook the US. In the past, the Chinese economy grew mostly thanks to its export sector, but now, as the population becomes wealthier, the people also consume more, which is very interesting for Swiss companies. Today, China is the fifth most important export market for Switzerland and it could become even more important in the future.
