In 2018, the staff of the Switzerland Travel Centre had more than one reason for celebrating: it was not only the centre’s 20th anniversary but also their most successful year so far, with booking volumes increasing from 81 million the year before to 86 million. Thanks to the Switzerland experts, 172,000 guests travelled through the alpine country, which is an apparent increase compared to 2017’s 160,000 visitors. Some of the reasons for the growth are the expansion of local representative offices in Los Angeles, Dubai, Bangkok and Seoul, as well as the opening of a branch in Hong Kong, which is also the organization’s first branch in Asia.
