Swiss startup selling filter which removes pathogens from water eyes Chinese market

The Swiss startup Novamem provides a product called DrinkPure, these are high-tech filters which remove pathogens from water, including plastic. DrinkPure has been developed by a team of scientists from the Swiss Federal Institute in Zurich (ETH).

The company currently mostly sells its products in Switzerland and Germany, but wants to expand to all of Europe. In addition, there are talks with partners in China and also plans for coming to the U.S.

With its filter, Novavem hopes to reduce the use of plastic bottles for water, which are expensive and wasteful. Prices for DrinkPure filters start at USD 68.99 and cost for a replacement is USD 24.
