A delegation from Shenzhen visited Berne last week. Part of that delegation was Oscar Madriles, who works for Fiyta, one of the most famous watch manufacturers in China. Now Fiyta has an idea which even Mr. Mardriles thinks is a little crazy, they are trying to conquer the market of a watchmaking country like Switzerland. But, Mr. Madriles is confident that his affordable watches (price range is between CHF 200 – 400) have a chance: For Chinese tourists in Switzerland, a Fiyta watch could be a souvenir in addition to an expensive local watch and Swiss people could be interested in the low price as well as the 3-year guarantee.
