China’s new focus on import products is an excellent opportunity for Swiss businesses; consequently, Switzerland’s presence at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) was very strong.
Some of the companies that participated were: ABB, Schindler Group, GF Machining Solutions, Novartis, Migros (Orange Garten), Fraisa. Swiss companies at the CIIE were mainly from the sectors high-end manufacturing, healthcare, technology, food & beverage, and consumer goods.
In addition, the Swiss Post launched the Swiss Country Pavilion on Tmall Global, which aims at bringing high-quality products to the growing Chinese middle class.
