A massive panda conservation park shall be constructed in the south-west Sichuan province, it shall be twice as big as the US Yellowstone national park. The Bank of China already pledged at least 10 billion Yuan (USD 1.5 billion) for the project. Aim of it is to bolster the local economy and also give the endangered pandas a place where they can mate with each other to enrich their gene pool.
