Thomas Wagner, former mayor and city councillor of Zurich and honorary president of the Swiss-Chinese Association has two recommendations in regards to the relation between China and Switzerland:
- Switzerland should have a coherent China strategy to express the country’s potential even better, more directly and more efficiently.
- Switzerland should participate more actively in the One Belt One Road initiative. This makes especially sense because Switzerland is a neutral country with an excellent reputation in China, furthermore, Europe is becoming less reliable as a partner.
