ABB signed declarations of intent with several Chinese companies, including the State Grid Corp of China and China Southern Power Grid.
The total volume of the orders could reach USD 1.9 billion. ABB will deliver components for new power lines, which are for example needed due to the Olympic Winter Games 2022.
The orders will be given to ABB’s power grid division, but according to insiders, ABB may sell this division.
