Nestlé opens two new factories in China

Nestlé opened two new factories in Taizhou, one for Foods for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP) and one for skin care products. Total investment for the two factories was CHF 150 billion, they make up Nestlé’s 33rd facility in China, which shows the company’s confidence in the market.

Regarding the factories, Magdi Batato, executive vice president and dead of operations for Nestlé S.A stated: “Nestlé is fully committed to continue to invest to support sustainable growth in China. By bringing the manufacturing capabilities of Nestlé Health Science and Nestlé Skin Health to China, we are in a stronger position to enhance Nestlé’s product offering and meet consumer expectations.”

Rashid Qureshi, Chairman and CEO of Nestlé Greater China stated that the factories underscore Nestlé’s commitment to nutrition, health and wellness, so the company is fully in line with the government’s priority to build a healthier population.
